LSC Company Policy | Required PPE

Outline & Purpose:  To set standard PPE requirements based on situation, scope of work, and equipment/product use.  

Power Washing (Cleaning of stone, other hard surfaces; setting up and breaking down equipment.)

• Safety glasses
• Chemical resistant work gloves
• Close-toed shoes or boots 
• 3M N95 paper mask (when working up close with bleach mixtures below 1.5%)
• 3M half face respirator with pink Organic Vapor cartridges installed (when working up close with bleach mixtures above 1.5%)

Soft Washing (house and building washing, gutter brightening, etc.)

• Safety glasses
• Close-toed shoes or boots
• Nitrile coated work gloves or 7 mil nitrile gloves
• 3M N95 paper mask (when applying bleach/soap mix)

Roof Cleaning

• Safety glasses
• 7 mil nitrile gloves
• Close-toed shoes or boots 
• Long work pants (no shorts)
• 3M half face respirator with pink Organic Vapor cartridges installed (when working up close with bleach mixtures above 1.5%)
• Long sleeve shirt (recommended)
• Have Eye Wash bottles on hand.

When mixing, transferring or transporting chemicals.

• Safety glasses
• Chemical resistant work gloves
• Close-toed shoes or boots 
• 3M N95 paper mask 

Gutter Cleaning

• Close-toed shoes or boots
• Nitrile coated work gloves or 7 mil nitrile gloves
